Twenty years of quiet giving.
The Harvey Foundation was established on 31 December 2005 as a perpetual charitable trust, founded on a simple piece of financial wisdom: capital preserved is generosity multiplied. Where a one-off gift is spent once, invested capital gives every year — in good seasons and hard ones.
Based in Toorak Gardens, Adelaide, the trust is governed by a board of trustees who meet throughout the year to review the investment portfolio, assess grant enquiries and renew partnerships with charities we have backed, in some cases, for many consecutive years.
We remain deliberately small and deliberately quiet. No galas, no campaigns, no buildings with our name on them. The measure of this foundation is found in the work of the charities we fund — food relief served, scholarships taken up, land restored, carers supported.

We invest for the long term and give for the long term. We would rather fund a good charity for twenty years than a fashionable one for one.
We fund the people already doing the work.
Frontline charities know their communities better than any foundation ever will. Our job is not to direct them — it is to resource them.
