End-of-year grants: our largest giving round to date
The trustees closed the 2025–26 financial year with our largest annual distribution — steady income, patiently invested, becoming steady help.
Read the entryThe Harvey Foundation is a perpetual Australian charitable trust. We preserve our capital, invest it with care, and give away the income it earns — so the frontline charities we back can count on support not once, but every year.
The Harvey Foundation holds a carefully stewarded investment portfolio. Rather than spending down our capital, we give away the income it generates — a model that turns one act of generosity into generations of giving.
We do not run programs of our own. We find trusted, effective frontline charities — the ones who know their communities best — and we back them with reliable, year-after-year grant funding.
Registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission since 31 December 2005, our governance, reporting and finances are public record. Transparency is not a policy here — it is the foundation of the trust placed in us.
Every grant we make falls within four areas of lasting need — chosen two decades ago, refined every year since.

Food relief, shelter and services that meet people at their hardest moments.
